My classes are a vinyasa flow mix filled with fun challenges, humor, vibrancy and creativity. I like to place a strong emphasis on alignment and utilize clear verbal articulation supported by vivid imagery. Translating passion into motivation into unlimited possibilities and a positive self-outlook & image. Allowing my students to not let their minds stop them from achieving anything their hearts want. I decorate my classes with thoughts and words of wisdom from Buddhism and Taoism interwoven with humor, asana and breath control. All classes are accompanied by a vibrant play list ranging from Led Zeppelin, DJ Logic, The Black Keys, Bach, Massive Attack and of course silence to name a few.
I'm a quirky instructor from Harwinton CT that has been studying yoga since 2002. Actually I didn't really like yoga when I first started to do it, just for some reason I just kept going back to it. Eventually I started to like doing it and try different styles and learn more which lead me to get certified. I got my 200-hour yoga certification from Lotus Gardens in 2009. I continue to educate myself by taking classes and workshops at jivamukti, Kula Yoga Project and Wanderlust to name a few. I came into yoga with a background in modern and ballet dance and have a diploma in performance and pedagogy from the Hartford Conservatory. I currently teach dance and perform professionally throughout the New England and new york city area with a dance company called CONNetic Dance. I also have a background in personal training with a ACE and NASM certification. I have taught in many different yoga schools throughout CT for kids of all ages and different workshops. Currently I’m studying to be a holistic health coach at Integrative Institute for Nutrition and have recently received my level I thai massage training from Lotus Palm at Kripalu. I can usually be found practicing my arm balances, eating vegan chow, snowboarding, dancing, rock climbing, hiking or juicing.
